Winter Fest OC is one holiday event that our family never misses. If you are planning to visit for the first time, we suggest planning out your time in advance. The first thing you need to do when you arrive is to schedule your ice skating session. You must make a reservation for your ice skating time slot and and cannot walk up to start skating at any time. This year you’ll love the new updated ice skating rink with a built in trail.
Second, start at the front of the park and begin with the snow play area, merry-go-round, and giant rocking horse. Take a picture with the giant ornament and walk through it. Third, head on over to the Snowflake Summit Snow Slide for some tubing fun. If it is a crowded day at the event, it is worth it to buy the fast pass wristband starting at $10 for this area or else you’ll be in a long general admission line. Fourth, walk through the giant Tree of Dreams (Christmas Tree) before heading to Santa’s Toy Carnival area.
The Santa’s Toy Carnival games area is similar to what you’ll see at a County Fair. Although it’s super fun, you might decide to skip this section if you are short on time, and focus on other more seasonal areas of the event. Lastly, If you walk through the carnival section you’ll end at a ferris wheel and from there be able to walk through to enjoy the Festival of Lights walk from the back end. Festival of Lights can also be seen while riding the trackless trains by the front entrance next to the snow play.
Hopefully you’ll still have time to explore SoCal Dicken’s Village, Yowie’s Sweet Shoppe and see some live entertainment. Be sure to see our videos and pictures on instagram. More details about Winter Fest OC can be found in the press release below.
