STILL BLUE. THE REST IS NEW.
(Pc: Evan Zimmerman for MurphyMade)
I had a mother and son date night with my 10 year old to see the opening night of Blue Man Group at Segerstrom Center For the Arts. I’ve seen the Vegas Blue Man Group Show many years ago on my own and really liked it. Seeing this all new show with my son was really special. It was also Kids Night on Broadway at Segerstrom that night and we were able to enjoy a lot of fun pre-show activities!
Throughout the show, we were laughing out loud together. The humor and jokes in the scenes were so simple yet hilarious. Just a subtle glance and gesture from the men in blue makes the audience roar in laughter. It’s amazing because they can communicate so much with no words! In the show they were exploring different sounds and rhythm and had really good percussion beats and music that were fantastic. Combined with the humor, the show was a hit! My son is an aspiring drummer so it was perfect for us to see this performance. There were a lot of audience interaction throughout the show and towards the end, the audience were invited to stand and and dance/move along. It was so much fun. We loved it! My younger kids would have enjoyed this performance too. The last day to see Blue Man Group at Segerstrom is the Jan. 12th so you don’t want to miss it. (updated Jan 8th.)
